A tired dog is a good dog

I often get comments from friends that our dogs are very well behaved.  Want to know my trick?
It’s rather simple: tire the little buggers out. Now don’t get me wrong, we train our dogs, we take classes with our dogs, we’re big believers in patience and consistency.  But all that usually comes after a nice long walk.
The result?  A pup who’s too tired to get into trouble.
A pup that would rather lounge on the couch or the floor than cause havoc in the house.
A pup that’s happy. Don’t worry – we didn’t get a new dog.
That’s just Benny – the pup I walk and doggie sit.  But more about him later.
