I honestly cannot believe that it’s been three quarters of a year since our little Peanut came into this world. And if I’m this emotional about it now, I’m seriously nervous for myself 3 months from now. Perhaps I should start stocking up on tissues.

Here’s a recap of our 9th month together.
- Addison is 15 lbs and 4 ounces and 26 inches long. She’s now in the 10th percentile for weight (yay!) and 25th for height. The doctor actually said, “Well, she’s a little Peanut.” Yes. Yes she is.
- If we had any doubts at all about Addison crawling before, there is none now. She is crawling at the speed of light and loves to discover the new things around the house. Some of her favorite things to crawl to are drawers, which she now knows how to open.
- She’s learned how to sit back down after standing up. I didn’t realize that this was a skill that the baby learned, but it is!
- Addi loves to clap when you sing, bounce up and down to music, wave bye-bye, and play peekaboo. Her favorite songs are “Itsy bitsy spider” and “Patty cake.”
- Some new things from this month include a trip to the apple orchard to pick some apples and hang out with her future hubby; getting to finally wear a tutu (okay, this is more exciting for me, but it’s still new); spending some quality time with each one of her aunts; surviving her first long stay with daddy while mom flew out to OR for 3 very long days; going to a pumpkin patch and hanging out with great friends.
- Addison now says “mum mum,” “dada,” “baba,” and “blah blah blah.” There are also some other nonsensical sounds that seem to come out of nowhere. When she wants to see something or point something out to us, she’ll point and say, “AH?!”
- She’s now eating 3 meals a day, including tons of finger foods.
- Addi’s personality continues to shine through. We’re learning just how silly she is (she loves to plop on the bed, squiggle away, and then plop down again, laughing), how funny she is, and how smart she is (you should see her inspecting everything around her, trying so hard to figure out how things work). We’re also learning that she is quiet the cuddle bunny. She loves to snuggle up with us on the couch or just bury her little face in the crook of our necks. We can tell that she’s going to be a little trouble maker – Addi will make what we call her “mischievous face” and then rush for something she is not supposed to have (the remote, the iPhones, the water bottles, my keys). If she sees one of her favorite items, she makes a beeline straight for it. If you take it away, she will actually look around, trying to figure out what other trouble she can get in to. We’re going to be in deep deep trouble very soon, but I honestly just can’t wait!

Man, she is just growing right up! I’m sure it’s amazing to be able to watch her grow and develop. Also, I loved the Itsy Bitsy Spider when I was younger!

She is precious! Thatcher used to be a peanut, too, but now he’s over 19 pounds which seems huge now that I see her weight
I love that she is saying “real” words!

She is so petite! I find it amazing how fast time goes by once they are born:( it seems like just yesterday Bryce was born and he will be two Friday!! I was getting him some clothes at Wal Mart the other day and saw the newborn clothes and could not remember him being so small he barely fit in them but he was! I get emotional sometimes thinking about it!

She is so darn cute! I love that you keep showing all the previous months’ pictures as well…it doesn’t seem like she changes much from day to day in your regular posts, but when compared to each of the previous months you can really tell a difference.

Hooray for 9 months! I remembe being SOOOO happy when Nate learned how to sit back down after standing. My daily heart attacks decreased immensely at that point (b/c, really, when “crash to the floor and possibly crack your head open or impale yourself” are the only “get down” options, watching your baby stand is less fun, LOL).
She is definitely a bright and curious little one. Sounds like so much fun!
