Did you know that today is 11/11/11? And Veteran’s Day! Purty cool if you ask me.
Any who.
My bloggy friend Sara from Splendid Imperfect Miss M is doing an awesome Gratitude Project series, so I think I’ll participate by doing a Friday Five – Things I’m thankful for.
1. I’m thankful for those around me: my happy, healthy baby; my super sweet hubby; our amazing families; our incredible friends; our adorable puppy. Just the thought of everyone that we have in our life is enough to fill me with gratitude.
2. I’m thankful for all the fortunes in my life that have led me here. I’ve been lucky to go to school and college, allowing me to get a job right after college. I’m even luckier that the job I got allowed me to grow and take on more opportunities. I’m lucky to have met a man that can actually stand to be with me for more than a day and whom I married. The job and the hubs have allowed us to purchase our first home and start our family. Life’s pretty darn good.
3. I’m thankful for the many hobbies I’ve loved (and abandoned). I’m a pretty restless person that has to constantly be on the go.
4. I’m thankful for the many chances that have come my way. The job opportunities, the small home we were able to purchase and make our own, and network that we were able to build around us.
5. I’m thankful for the many good outcomes that have come from the not-so-good events in our lives. I don’t know how many of you know about the time that my husband fell out of a second story window and broke his neck – it is something I will never forget. It happened while were were both very young and were barely married a year. I know that a lot of things could have gone very wrong as a result of this terrible incident, but we made it through and I can’t believe how well everything turned out.

That is a great list Kat! There are so many things/people/events in life to be thankful for and sometimes we just need to stop and think wow life is good.
