Pinterest – how to check pins for your website

Hi. Did you know that I’m a wicked geek? Well, I am.

Today I wanted to share with you a way to check what pins are generated against your website.

Yup.  That’s it.  That’s how simple it is.

In your browser of choice (mine’s Chrome), find the address bar and type in http://pinterest.com/source/[your web address, minus www or http]

And enjoy stalking your pins.

While you’re at it, check out what I’ve been pinning.

Food for thoughts – should you pin your own blog/site?  I don’t, but I know bloggers that do.  What’s your take?

I can’t wait to try this! I am blogging from the sky en route to California but am curious to check. No I would not pin my own blog but understand why a business might. By the way, do you know any .net Developers looking for a new job? Email me if so! Happy Friday!

Well since very few people know about my blog I def don’t want my fb friends to see it on pinterest!!

I have gotten a little more into pinterest. I really like the quick easy meals, cause really there are just some nights I don’t feel like cooking. Take last night for example. TNT usually bowls on Thursday nights so I had planned to relive my single years when I only ate popcorn and drank Dr. Pepper. We’re not talking about popcorn in a bag either! It has to be popped in a popper. Anway, TNT ended up not bowling and was super Chatty Cathy last night. I didn’t want to cook so I made him a bowl of popcorn and said enjoy. Of course he complained, but I was happy as a peach eating popcorn and drinking a can of Coke.

Fun! While one pin is nothing to brag about, someone did pin my pumpkin bundt cake so that makes me really happy. And it wasn’t even my mom or a relative. :) Thanks for the quick tip.

Isn’t it so weird to see other people pinning your stuff?! Kinda freaks me out and makes me happy at the same time.

Wow! You are so dadgum smart! How cool. In my opinion, I kind of think whatever about pinning your own blogs – all the time is overkill, occassionally is fine. On Pinterest’s Pin Etiquette board, it mentions that if there is something you are proud of to “pin away” however to please not use pinterest as “a tool for self-promotion.”
