Guest post: Simple Girl, Simple Pleasures

Happy Monday, peeps! Today I want to share with you another blogger from CT, Amanda.  Amanda and I “met” on the cyber space some time ago and got along instantaneously.  Her posts always bring a smile to my face and I can’t wait to meet her in person some day.  Visit Amanda on her Blog :  Twitter  :  Facebook.

Hey friends of Kat! I’m Amanda, and my little piece of this world wide web is called Simple Girl, Simple Pleasures. Kat and I bonded over the fact that we’re both from Connecticut. I don’t know how long we’ve been blog friends, but we still need to find a time to have an official blate.
Anyways, after her trip to Florida, she sent me some gorgeous photography. Kat’s photography always impresses me and reminds me of my passion for photo taking. So I wanted to share some of my photography from when my family took a vacation to Paris and Madrid this past fall.
It was a chilly fall afternoon, and after a delicious lunch, we ventured to the botanical gardens, Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid. The afternoon sun was almost perfect lighting, so I played with the color settings on my Canon Powershort SD1400IS. Here are some of the photos I took.
Pretty pink flowers, just blooming in November.

Some bright red peppers in a sea of black and white.

Some pink cabbage. (Pink’s my favorite color!)

And a shot of my sister and I forming a heart. We giggled as we struggled to make a heart shape with our very unevenly sized hands.

And just for fun, an iPhone photo of the two of us hiding in the tangles of a green tree.

Going through the many photos of Kat’s really has gotten me longing to take photos again, and I appreciate Kat’s natural talent for it! Thanks for having me, Kat! Feel free to stop by my blog to say hello!
