Peeps – do I have a treat for you today!
If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that I struggled pretty hard with maternity wear, in particular the jeans, when I was pregnant with P. I even wrote a whole post about crying in the changing room the first day that I had to buy maternity jeans. I swore that this pregnancy would be different – that I wouldn’t let it dictate the clothes I wear and to limit me to a handful of so-so items that I felt awkward in. This time I swore that I would be picky about the clothes I buy and wear and that I would feel good wearing maternity clothes. After all, I think that can really make or ruin the 9 months (well, at least to me).
So once I knew I was pregnant I set out to find the kinds of outfits that I would feel great in. And first on my list were jeans. I had a pair from my last pregnancy (I borrowed a lot of clothes when I was pregnant with Peanut) but I wanted to find a pair of super skinny jeans that would help me feel like me.
And find them I did! I found Seraphine Maternity through a recommendation and went on to read reviews from fellow bloggers. I was loving the way their clothes looked – like fashionable, fitted clothes, not just draped maternity wear. I set my sights on their pair of dark indigo super skinnies and couldn’t get over them. Lucky for me, Seraphine offered a pair for me to review and were generous enough to do a $100 giveaway for my readers!
I couldn’t wait to get my pair and I wasn’t disappointed in the least.
They were everything I dreamed they would be and so much more. Although they’re still a tiny bit big on me right now (maternity sizes aren’t quiet the same as regular sizes), they’re the closest to fit that I’ve ever gotten. They hug my booty, slim in the legs, and actually stay up! I think that’s the part that bugs me the most about maternity jeans- the constant need to pull them up – up around the belly, up around the waist, constantly fixing the elastic. Well, not these. The elastic is completely different – it’s tight and small – taking up a small area in the front. These jeans look almost completely like my regular jeans and I find no need to put on at least 3 layers to cover the ugly elastic on the pants.
And the back? Well, it doesn’t even have an elastic! That’s right – no elastic in the back. They look like any regular pair of jeans.
And now for the good stuff – the giveaway!
