We are truly lucky to have such wonderful families.
After an amazing time spent in Western Mass with Jon’s family of about 30 people, we headed to the South Shore to meet our first niece, who was born on Christmas Day. She was just so beautiful, I couldn’t get enough of her.
After spending a couple of hours with Jon’s sister and her beautiful family, we headed home for a day and then off to NJ we went.
While most families enjoy the big holidays with their families, we get to have 2! 2 whole celebrations – since my family celebrates “Christmas” on New Year’s, we get two distinct holidays and it’s amazing (as well as extra awesome not having to share the days). Peanut is one lucky gal – being spoiled so darn much. This holiday, on top of the usual overwhelming amount of gifts and snuggles and food, Peanut learned how to eat snow. Yup. My husband was real proud of himself for that one too as our kid spent the better half of the day munching on fresh powdery cold snow.
Ah well, I guess as long as she’s not eating yellow snow?

Has anyone ever told you that P looks so much like your dad? WOW! That second-to-last picture of them is adorable!
So many priceless pics! I think the snow eating is my favorite!
Oh man, I got thrown. I thought you looked “different” in the pictures…until I finally realized it was your sister. Duh.
I didn’t realize you and your sister looked that much alike!! I was like darn that girl looks good being pregnant! LOL
Great pictures!!! Love the Great Dane!!!
