Life is busy these days. Daycare drop offs and pick ups. ”Days off” filled with playdates. Weekends with back to back activities. But it’s the little fleeting moments that I want to remember.
Addison’s vocabulary is growing and she’s talking in full sentences. But what’s even more fun is that she’s catching these random phrases that I just don’t expect from a 2.5 year old.
“Mommy, wassss wong? When I get frustrated that she just spilled half of her dinner on the floor. Or accidentally knocked over a bottle of breastmilk. Talk about turning a frown upside down.
“Hey, Addi, how old are you?” Asked by me at least 5 times a day. ”Two…uh…an’ haff” Usually followed by, “How old are mommy and daddy?” “Three.” (I love you kid.)
“Baby Tayor’s awaaaake!” she exclaims every time that she sees her sister’s eyes flutter open. Even if it’s just for a second. And she could have probably fallen back asleep had Addi not yelled that. But who’s holding a grudge?
“Baby Tayor’s a bay-bee. Not a big gurl. Addi a big gurl.”
