WW – a weekend with the family

This weekend we had a wedding in New Jersey (more on that later!) and in order for both of us to enjoy the evening, we dropped P off at my folks’ house for bedtime, then spent Sunday with them. It was an absolutely wonderful, gorgeous day spent with family.

Peanut is finally starting to let up on the stranger anxiety and interact with people that she doesn’t see every single day.  She loved playing in my parents’ gorgeous fenced in yard and chasing the dog around.

A wonderful treat was also seeing my grand parents, Peanut’s great-grandparents, who moved from Russia to NY a couple of years ago.  It’s so amazing to see them spending time with our little girl.

And it doesn’t hurt that my mom and dad cook and take care of the kid while Jon and I are spoiled rotten.

  1. Is Peanut’s Russian as good as her English? How’s that going?

    • If by, as good as English, you mean that she speaks neither, then yes! lol

      • Hahaha. I thought she had a few phrases down. She just always strikes me as brilliant, so I guess I gave her credit.

        • She says some words now, no phrases yet. But with the gummy lisp I’m not exactly sure if they’re English or Russian (I’m just kidding, she definitely has English words down, no Russian ones that I know of yet).

  2. It’s so great when you have wonderful parents that let you relax a bit and enjoy the time with the rest of your family. My parents do the same for my husband and I. I know how happy and content you felt here. Great photos of your daughter enjoying the family time!

  3. Really starting to love your photos more and more! Keep up the good work! :-)

  4. She is too adorable!
